Open source content and software programs seem to be very beneficial for many people and teachers on a budget. It seems that these programs can give advanced technology to many people who would not otherwise have access to it. The podcast mentioned a processing system known as Linux that was familiar to me because my dad used to have it on his computer, as well as Ubuntu, which is another open source processing system. Open source content is a great way for learning to take place on a more equal field, it eliminates some of the gap between the advantaged and disadvantaged.

I had no idea that you could turn off linear navigation on powerpoint and I thought that was a great way to make the presentation more interactive. I could definitely see teachers using this feature in a classroom to quiz and review students before a test. I had never done a screen recording before, but I have had to watch them in the past so it is really interesting to now know how to make them. The first was helpful because I used it to study for another exam, and although I learned a new skill, I thought the interactive one took a while time to finish and felt unnecessarily long.
